Client: N6 Construction Limited Project: Road Scheme Size: 900 sq metres Project Timeframe: 10 Weeks Requirement: The N6 road Scheme involves the construction of approximately 57.6km of new roadway built to motorway standard, a 7km link road to the Loughrea bypass, 32km of side roads & four grade-separated junctions.

Such a complicated project required a high level of on-site management, administration, technical & design staff. N6 Construction turned to RoanKabin to provide the required accommodation.

Solution:

Because of the tight nature of the timeframe, Roan Building Systems suggested the use of a series of 12m x 3.6m Jackleg Kabins linked together using Roan Building Systems integrated linking system. Individual jackleg units were fitted out as offices, meeting rooms, reception/ waiting room, canteen, first aid, toilets and showers.

Because each jackleg unit was self contained it also gave N6 Construction the flexibility of moving units to different sites at a later date with minimum disruption. The first of their units were on site within three weeks of the approved drawings, with all units & the link corridor installed in ten weeks as agreed.

In early 2008, Roan Building Systems was contracted to relocate the office complex to a new site compound. Given the flexibility of the jackleg units, Roan Building Systems was able to complete the relocation within two weeks.
