Client: Trim TIDE Project: Child Care Centre Size: 900 sq metres Project Timeframe: 20 weeks Requirement: Purpose built two storey child care facility & complete development of a green-field site. Originally to be of conventional build, Pat Shanley & Associates elected to use off-site construction to expedite the programme & reduce costs.

Solution:

Roan Building Systems were awarded the contract and set about modularizing the original plans. The new centre compromised various classrooms, sleep rooms, computer laboratory, reception, games room, toilet & baby change facilities, offices, canteen & kitchen.

Internal fit-out included 50mm gyproc screed floors on both levels, underfloor heating system, air-conditioning, suspended ceilings, lift, telephone & data systems, fully fitted kitchen, CCTV, folding partitions & wooden floors.

Externally Kingspan micro-rib wall cladding, large architectural windows & a striking mono pitched roof give the building a distinctly modern feel. Roan Building Systems were also responsible for the overall development of the site from foundations, bio-flow treatment systems, car-parks, perimeter fencing, play areas & landscaping. As always the project was delivered on time & to budget.
